Description:
Jet came in to us a stray and is desperate to find someone to give her all the cuddles and companionship she needs. She is about 6 years old, is spayed, chipped FiV negative and vaccinated, uses a litter tray and eats well.
Jet loves to chat to you and always wants a cuddle, she loves lots of attention. She doesn’t play much, its all about the cuddles. She can get a bit over-stimulated so she needs someone who is able to judge when to back off, she can lash out so she is not suitable for a household with young children.
She would be happiest as the only cat in the home, while she was a full time stray, she has made no attempt to go out while she has been with us although she may benefit from a catio or safe outdoor space.

Our Branch is dedicated to finding the best ‘forever’ home for each of our animals. Their species, personality, age, health and background are all considered carefully. We seek to find them each a home where they will live a happy and healthy life and be able to express their natural behaviour. We embrace the ‘Five Freedoms’ set out in the Animal Welfare Act 2006. Although our re-homing procedures are designed to guard against mismatched animals, if the animal doesn't settle in their new home, the RSPCA will ask for his/her return in order to find a more compatible alternative home. PLEASE NOTE: In the interest of our cats we usually do not allow rehoming to homesholds with multiple pets (special cases will be considered).Adoption Procedures

- The branch will review your adoption requests and contact you to arrange a viewing.
- If you wish to proceed with the adoption we will then arrange a home visit which will be carried out by one of our qualified home visitors. This can be done in person or via video call. The purpose of our home visits are listed below:
- Our animals are our first concern. We seek to find home environments which are suitable for each specific animal’s needs.
- All home visits are carried out in accordance with nationally agreed RSPCA guidelines.
- They provide the Branch the opportunity to discuss the proposed adoption with the entire family in the comfort of their own home and offer the home visitor the opportunity to answer questions with regard to the animal’s needs and care requirements.
- They allow us to provide information, advice and resources to assist in the event the visit is successful and the adoption process is approved to go forward.
- Should the home visit be successful, we will provide information regarding the adoption process.
- The animal will have a full health check by our vet before leaving the cattery to ensure that it is fit and healthy.
- A donation to the RSPCA (we ask for a minimum donation of £100 for cats and £150 kittens) is required from you at the time the adoption paperwork is completed. This donation helps to offset some of the costs of the following:
- Vaccinations
- Flea & worming treatment
- Micro-chipping (for identification)
- Neutering
- Veterinary Health check
- Cattery fees
